Koda Kumi has been featured on the cover of FUSION magazine for the very first time, and this special feature is packed with stunning photographs and an exclusive interview in English!

As part of her 25th anniversary celebrations, Kumi took part in an extensive photoshoot in Los Angeles, resulting in a diverse collection of images showcasing different sides of the artist. From beautiful and elegant shots to cute and cool looks, the feature offers plenty for fans to discover.

The magazine's team also visited the set while Kumi was filming a music video, capturing additional behind-the-scenes moments and adding even more photos to this special feature.

Alongside the photoshoot, FUSION features an in-depth interview in which Kumi opens up about her career, her personality and her relationship with music.

Looking back on her 25 years in the industry, she reflects on how quickly time has passed and how much she still loves what she does. She also discusses the contrast between her glamorous stage persona and her private self, admitting that the two sides of her personality can be quite different.

Kumi talks about the pressure she experienced early in her career regarding her appearance, her approach to fitness, and the nerves she still feels before performances — even after all these years. Despite her experience, stepping onto the stage remains an emotional moment, and seeing the audience smile, cry or dance along is one of the most rewarding parts of performing live.

Koda Kumi brought fans together for a series of special events this summer with KODA KUMI Premium Talk Show 2026!
The 2026 Premium Talk Show took place across three cities, with two performances in Nagoya and two in Osaka, followed by a Tokyo date.
The event gave fans an opportunity to enjoy a more intimate format than Kumi’s usual concert tours, accompanied by a visual concept that carried through to the official goods.

Exclusive Goods Inspired by Kumi’s Visuals
The goods combined the talk show’s striking aesthetic with items fans could use in their everyday lives.
Alongside the events themselves, fans were treated to striking new visuals and a collection of exclusive merchandise inspired by Kumi’s distinctive look.

Kumi’s official channels and fan community have also shared photos from the talk show, giving fans a closer look at the visuals and atmosphere surrounding the events.

Koda Kumi’s iconic remix series is back! Koda Kumi Driving Hit’s 11 was released digitally on August 28, 2026, marking the eleventh instalment of a series that has been bringing fresh energy to her music since 2009.

Almost a year after the previous instalment, the new release features six remixes of popular songs from Kumi’s catalogue, reimagined by Japanese and international producers. With updated club sounds and dance-oriented arrangements, the album is ready to bring a new vibe to both the dance floor and your next road trip!

The tracklist brings together songs from different stages of Kumi’s career, giving each one a fresh sound:

The series has always been about giving Kumi’s songs a new lease of life through contemporary dance music, and this latest chapter continues that tradition.

A look back at the “Driving Hit’s” legacy

To accompany the release, Kumi also took to Instagram to share images looking back at the covers of previous Driving Hit’s releases.

The retrospective offers fans a chance to revisit the visual evolution of this long-running remix series, which began in 2009 and has become a familiar part of Kumi’s discography. Alongside the music, the distinctive cover designs have helped give each instalment its own identity.

With eleven releases now in the series, it is a great opportunity to look back at how Driving Hit’s has evolved over the years — and to celebrate another chapter in Kumi’s musical journey.

Koda Kumi’s spectacular 25th anniversary live tour is now available to relive at home! KODA KUMI 25th ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2025 ～De-CODE～ was officially released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 25, 2026.

Recorded at Osaka-jō Hall on December 14, 2025, this release captures one of the major highlights of Kumi’s 25th anniversary celebrations, bringing together iconic hits, powerful performances, elaborate staging and the energy that has earned her a reputation as the “QUEEN OF LIVE.”

The concert setlist features a wide range of songs from across Kumi’s career, including “POP DIVA,” “TABOO,” “Butterfly,” “Ai no Uta,” “real Emotion,” “FREAKY,” “Vroom” and “WON’T BE LONG,” before closing with “walk.”

Fans who opted for the special FC and mu-mo shop limited edition also received additional content, including behind-the-scenes footage, the Osaka concert MC, the “CUBE” lyric video, the full live audio across two CDs, and a photo booklet. The regular DVD and Blu-ray editions include a digest version of the behind-the-scenes footage.

Koda Kumi fans have had plenty of opportunities to add new items to their collections this year! From seasonal fashion and anniversary accessories to a special cushion and a limited-time archive sale, several new merchandise collections have been announced throughout 2026.

Here is a look back at some of the highlights.

• Spring 2026 — Fashion and Everyday Accessories

Announced on February 25, the KODA KUMI SPRING 2026 – LIMITED GOODS collection brought together fashion pieces and practical accessories designed for everyday use.

The lineup included a hoodie, two styles of sweatpants (flare and jogger), a smartphone wallet, MagSafe metal stickers featuring the Koda Kumi logo and KLOOP, rhinestone keyrings in gold and black, and a pins-and-stickers set celebrating her 25th anniversary.

Prices ranged from ¥1,500 for the pins-and-stickers set to ¥16,000 for the hoodie.

• Autumn 2026 — A New Limited Collection

On July 24, Kumi announced KODA KUMI AUTUMN 2026 – LIMITED GOODS, bringing another seasonal collection to fans during her 25th anniversary year.

The collection continued her tradition of releasing limited-edition merchandise for fans looking to celebrate her music and personal style.

• “93SHION” — Special Goods for Kumi Day

September 3 is known among fans as Kumi Day, thanks to the Japanese reading of the date, 9/3.

To celebrate the occasion, Kumi announced “93SHION” (Kumission), a special cushion inspired by the popular “Ganzen Kumi” design featured in the merchandise for .

The cushion was offered in two designs: the GK edition and the FACE edition. With its bold, playful design, the item was created to bring a little Kumi-inspired personality into fans' homes.

• KODA KUMI ARCHIVE GOODS COLLECTION — Special Offers for Fans
  
  The latest merchandise announcement arrived on October 15 with the KODA KUMI ARCHIVE GOODS COLLECTION.

As part of the closing celebrations for her 25th anniversary year, selected items from previous events were made available through a special online sale. Eligible members of the Koda Gumi and KK App plans can enjoy 25% off selected products.

The lineup includes original thermomugs and bottles from the walk documentary film, decorative hair clips, mirror stickers, and merchandise previously sold at the KODA KUMI Premium Talk Show 2026. An exclusive sticker pack inspired by the talk show's visuals and merchandise designs was also introduced for online sales.

Koda Kumi has delighted fans with two exciting musical releases in 2026 : a surprise collaboration cover with Do As Infinity in february and a cover of a classic Japanese pop hit by Pink Lady during her pregnancy !

• Change my future feat. Do As Infinity — A Surprise Collaboration

On February 4, 2026, Koda Kumi and Do As Infinity surprised fans with the digital release of Change my future feat. Do As Infinity.

The collaboration brought together two artists celebrating major milestones: Koda Kumi was marking her 25th debut anniversary, while Do As Infinity celebrated 26 years since their debut. Both acts are part of the Avex family and have maintained a connection over the years, making this collaboration a special way to celebrate their respective anniversaries.

The song was first performed live the day before its release, on February 3, during KAMEN RIDER × SUPER SENTAI LIVE & SHOW 2026 at Yokohama Arena. Their surprise performance as Koda Kumi × Do As Infinity was met with an enthusiastic response from the audience, before the track became available digitally the following day.

The release was a welcome surprise for fans, bringing the two acts together for a memorable anniversary collaboration.

• Southpaw — a Kuuchan cover for the Pink Lady’s 50th Anniversary Tribute

Another musical highlight arrived in August. On July 16, it was announced that Koda Kumi would participate in “Pink Lady Densetsu Now and Forever -50th Anniversary Tribute Album-", a tribute album celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary Japanese duo Pink Lady.

Koda Kumi contributes her own cover of “Southpaw” (サウスポー), one of Pink Lady’s best-known songs. Originally released in 1978, the energetic hit is a landmark of Japanese pop music, making it an exciting choice for Kumi to reinterpret in her own style.

The tribute album was released on August 26, 2026, giving fans the opportunity to discover Koda Kumi’s take on this classic alongside contributions from other artists.

From a brand-new collaboration with Do As Infinity to a fresh interpretation of a beloved Showa-era pop classic, these two releases showcase different sides of Koda Kumi’s musical world. There's more exciting news for Koda Kumi fans: the new dates for Koda Kumi Live Tour 2027 ～Kingdom～ have been announced!

Originally scheduled for 2026, the tour was postponed following Kumi's pregnancy. Now, the wait is finally over, with the new schedule taking the singer across Japan from March to September 2027.

Nearly 19 years after the original Kingdom tour in 2008, Kumi is ready to open a new chapter in the story of Kingdom. Rather than simply recreating the original show, this new tour promises to bring a fresh perspective shaped by her artistic evolution and years of experience on stage.

The tour will kick off on March 5, 2027, and conclude on September 5, with 20 concerts scheduled across 18 cities.
